HousUp is a free feasibility report for Washington homeowners who need more room and don't want to move: backyard homes, additions and garage conversions. Nobody was giving them an honest first answer about the property they already have.

How the report is made

Our system reads the public record for your parcel — county parcel data, your city's adopted code, flood and critical-area maps, slope, soils, utility service — and applies the rules for the project you asked about. It is delivered within the hour. Anything the system isn't sure of is held for a person to look at first, and a professional review with a site visit comes before any scope or price is proposed. The report is allowed to say no.

Who builds

The construction contract is with United Signature, a Washington-registered general contractor, registration UNITESE790Q3. That number appears on every proposal and at the foot of every page of this site, as Washington law requires. You are free to take your report to any designer or contractor.

Who runs it

HousUp is run by the team at United Signature, a design-build remodeling company in Everett. The reviewer who looks at held reports is a project manager who has walked more of these lots than anyone should have to.
